Olympiacos - CSKA Moscow
* Itoudis learned many tricks from Obradovic. One of them is using fake starters. You don´t begin the game with your best starting five players, while the opponent usually does. When the other team starts to subtitute, you bring your aces (AKA Teodosic, Hines) on the court. Then it is your best players against the subtitue players of the other team - a great opportunity to make a run and finish the game already in the second quarter. We saw it today in the second quarter. Olympiacos was able to score their first points just 6 minutes into the 2nd quarter, and had 12 turnovers before halftime.

* Playing next to the mega talents De Colo and Teodosic, Aaron Jackson is being constantly underrated. And that´s not fair. Jackson belongs to the starting five of every team in Europe. He is a great defender. Tonight he made Spanoulis miserable for some minutes. He added also good offensive game. He was CSKA´s silent killer.
* CSKA´s pick´n´roll between their two bigmen is a form of art. UNESCO should consider it as intangible heritage.
* Milutinov would probably win this year´s prize in the category of most offensive fouls per minute. He just does not know how to screen properly.

* Olympiacos has no plays to set up Lojeski for a free three pointer. What a waste of a pure shooter. He can envy JC Carroll from Real.
* Every team has it´s star, it´s go to guy. Spanoulis is the one for Olympiacos. But sometimes a coach should respond to the situation on a given evening. Tonight Spanoulis was not at his best (again, due to some good defending from Jackson), with 7 turnovers. Sfairopoulos should have been using his other players in order to make a comeback. No wonder that the Greeks played best after Spanoulis was fouled out.
Bamberg - Olimpia Milano
* Bamberg is playing beautifully, moving the ball from side to side and involving many players as possible in the set offense. Unfortunately, not all of their players are takented enough to finish those moves with a basket. Maybe it is a sign for Trinchieri to move to a bigger club.
* What a brilliant move from Hickman at the end of the regular game. He knew he was going to be fouled, so he faked a shot from 3/4 court. He received three free throws which sent the game to overtime. Thumbs up!
* Zisis showed the meaning of having a veteran in the squad. He took responsibilty in the money time, draw fouls and made 9/9 from the line.
Real Madrid - Galatasaray

* Why is Fernandez a great player? Even when he is having a solid night, he will find eventually the way to make the crucial shots and to win the game. Tonight he did it with two three pointers in the last quarter. Before that he has not made a single three pointer.
* Galatasaray is repeatedly showing weak defence in the last quarter. When they most need to tighten up the defence and to put extra effort, the Turkish team collapses. It is a sign of non-dedicated players. Speaking of non-dedicated players, Russ Smith had another night when he sabotaged Gala, finishing 9 minutes with 1 RKG. Business as usuall.
* The team RKG is telling a different story than the scoreboard. Real won with 109-72. Gala went just 6 time to the line in 40 minutes. And it is not that Real were extra soft in defence; The Turkish team preferred to shot the ball from the outside. As long as they kept an high FG procentage, they managed to keep the illusion of a tight game.
